Leveraging data science, we refined every detail of the S-Works Torch’s upper for improved fit and performance. The BOA cable is shifted down and angled, preventing lift on the ball of the foot and delivering power-enhancing structure while eliminating unwanted pressure or pinching. Adaptive materials allow natural movement of the foot where needed for comfort, while data-driven zonal reinforcement keeps the foot secured for crisp power delivery and optimal efficiency. Guided by more than 100,000 foot scans from our RETÜL fit data, we recognized that both a standard and a wide carbon base plate would best serve the spectrum of human foot shapes. An internal I-Beam adds stiffness and strength, eliminating the need for additional bracing. The result is a 20-gram weight reduction, enhanced efficiency, and immediate power transfer. MTB CARBON-GROUND SOLE - The MTB SRS CARBON-GROUND Sole raises the standard for mountain bike performance, dropping off about 100 grams per pair compared to the previous Dragon Carbon SRS sole without sacrificing power or durability. The MTB SRS CARBON GROUND Sole consists of replaceable tread blocks in the toe and heel attached to a medium-modulus carbon sole, plus the innovative Replaceable MTB Plate, designed to prevent sole damage from pedal contact. Most Dual-Retention Bar type MTB Pedals (such as Crankbrothers and LOOK) recommend using a reinforcement plate between the cleat and the shoe in order to prevent cracking or denting the sole. The MTB Plate can be replaced in case of damage from the pedal system, so adding the weight of an aftermarket reinforcement plate is optional. The Ground SRS treads and MTB Plate are easily removable and replaceable. The MTB SRS CARBON-GROUND Sole is toe-spike compatible. DOUBLE TECNO-3 PUSH - The DOUBLE TECNO 3 PUSH SYSTEM is inserted on a single base, this speeds up wearing and taking off shoes. The central mechanism creates a perfect tension balance between the shoe’s internal and external side. The symmetrical mechanism guarantees an excellent closure adapting on every instep. An innovative button added to the monofilament buckle, if pushed, lifts the buckle to facilitate the adjustment. REFLEX ADJUSTABLE HEEL RETENTION DEVICE - The ADJUSTABLE HEEL RETENTION DEVICE reinforces the top of the heel cup and improves the fit by closing the back of the shoe securely around the rider’s heel. The heel retention device tightens the top of the heel cup so that the heel doesn’t slide out during steep climbs or sprints. Each side of the heel can be adjusted independently, for a perfect fit. For a custom adjustment turn the screw towards the + sign to tighten the heel retention device and towards the – sign to open it. Light weight, easy to use, and replaceable. For additional security while pedaling, the new adjustable heel device is provided with reflex inserts for more visibility in dark conditions. A brand-new road bike shoe in the Sidi lineup, the Shot-2 is light, aerodynamic, breathable, and well-performing. The upper is Microfiber TechPro and mesh. The Microfiber TechPro is eco-friendly with antibacterial and hydro treatment. Hydro treatment reduces water absorption. While the mesh provides great breathability and creates the ideal microclimate inside the shoe. A Comfort Fit Insole is provided for lightweight support. The new "C-Boost SRS" sole is born from the union of C, which indicates the chemical element Carbon, BOOST translation of push/support/support, and SRS Sole Replacement System. The C-Boost SRS sole provides excellent performance in the pushing phase. The special conformation of the metatarsal area allows greater power transmission on the pedals and guarantees ideal support. New oval holes, with an extra ± 5mm adjustment, considerably expand the positioning possibilities of the cleat which can be memorized by means of the usual millimeter scale applied. The carbon parts most subject to deterioration are protected by special SRS (Sole Replacement System) inserts in nylon and Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) equipped with steel screws whose task is to reduce deterioration and at the same time extend the life of the resistance to abrasion while walking. The inserts are also integrated with ventilation holes that promote breathability inside the sole. The new "Double Tecno-3 Push Flex" rotor, entirely made by Sidi's R&D department (research and development center) together with the precious collaboration with sponsored athletes, completely eliminates the pressure zone on the instep and significantly improves the closure feeling. This system requires a smaller support surface on the tongue of the shoe and is equipped with a central flexing system capable of adapting to the different needs and conformations of the cyclist's feet, without creating areas of overpressure. Like its predecessors, it guarantees micrometric regulation, closing speed/tension release, and is replaceable. The all-new integrated heel is light and reinforced to avoid deformation after prolonged efforts and pressure. Thanks to its anatomically shaped structure, it stabilizes and supports the foot while pedaling, while the Reflex inserts offer greater safety on the road, with poor visibility conditions.
